I fell in love with this book along with Drew, Jo and Junior just as quickly as i have all the other of Elena's books. It's a heartfelt story showing the grief a person suffers when a loved one dies fighting for his country, or in this case, being a Doctor alongside the fighters but it was just as big and dangerous role.
Jo struggled to smile and unless Junior (her son) was around she rarely did. That is until Drew, the arrogant and extremely hot a*s*hole from across the hall comes along with his sugar sticks.
You get all the feels from this book, I wouldn't say its a roller coaster type of read but you definitely go on a sad and happy journey along with Jo.
